Yes, life is difficult and only seems to get more so. Whenever I think this I'm reminded of words from an old Amy Grant song - "'cause life is hard and it might not get easier but we believe in God". That's all. Not that God will change things so it will be easy but believing in Him is enough. I need that reminder often. You aren't alone the hards days.
This is just beautiful, Linda, and once again you speak the thoughts of my own heart.
Today I have read (and written myself) posts from many women who are living into this same reality and need, all of us trying to find our way back to nourishing habits of mind, body, and soul. To light.
If I lived closer to you Linda, I'd like to invite you over for tea, and then a walk with our cameras in our hands, and then be inspired by each of our activities that feed our souls. Maybe we'd even have a chance to paint together -- although I just tend to play with mixed media currently. :). It's funny that I titled my blog post this week, "Let's begin again - it's never too late." There seems to be a gathering happening, of walking in wellness with Jesus, over striving in productivity with the world.
I appreciate the reminder to nourish my soul during the better times. It does have an inoculating effect, doesn't it? Yet, I tend to push ahead and focus on productivity. I'm going to take these words to heart today, Linda. (And I might plant some greens too!)
Thanks, Kathy. During the years when we lived in Washington, Celsius temperatures became meaningless to me. When we returned to Canada, the opposite happened and I forgot Fahrenheit. I get the need for conversion!

Yes, our faith sustains us. Thanks be to God.

We are in good company with one another.
Thank you, Becca. I enjoyed reading your post too. I love that many of us are leaning in to taking care and paying attention.❤️
There is a craving for order in our small personal worlds I guess, as a counterweight to the chaos in the wider one.
Surely, we all need this reminder on a regular basis. Thank you for sharing!
I believe we’re all in good company. 😊

Oh, Lynn, that would be such a blessing. I, too, see a group of us walking forward arm-in-arm clothed in faith and love. ❤️

You’re definitely not alone in the productivity push, Laura. Here’s to remembering to take gentle care of ourselves (and planting greens!).
A beautiful post and a great question: Why do I keep forgetting?! (and thank you for the US celsius conversion)
